WAVERLEY WONDERS.
The football match (Professionals r. Muffs) ■was rather rough on the Professionals. It would be advisable for the long full back to calculate the length of his leg, and not blind his opponents ■with earth when he makes a kick at the ball . Bob attends church regularly now. Some attraction, eh, Maggie ? When is the commission agent going to tie the fatal knot with A. ? The miller looks disconsolate since Miss R. left. Gk> it, A. — Nil dftsperandum ! Eather rough on the Bantams to separate them •with barb wire. Harry, what's become of L. ? Did Mr P.'s instructions frighten you ? Why dees Willie go to Waitotara so often since he came back ? Is it because heis excluded from the social gathering at the corner after, church ? C. does not wear his hat for comfort, but for show. The straw hat must be worn out. What about the Tarn o' Shanter ?
