A MANGERE IDYL.
Oh ! Fin a model masher — What the ladies call a bean, Although I drive a waegon, And bring milk to town, you know. To notice old acquaintances, My word ! I now disdain — E'en Katie wastes her sweetest smile, And Maggie sighs in vain. My love in JKenauera dwells, A damsel fair to view, In manners too she's quite genteel, With sparkling eyes of blue. When speaking to the Mangere belles, An attitude I strike — No common folks now stand a chance With we, " Hitalian Mike."
