MOHAKA (H. B.) MATTERS.
The concert in aid of the football tesyj^was a great success. Professor Long performed some wonderful feats on the bar, and proved himself a thorough gymnast. His pupil W., with a littie more practice and a few more lessons from the Professor, would make an excellent performer. It is Professor Long's intention to take a trip overland to Auckland. We all wish him success. What about the dance ? Ask tlie c Knight of the Garter ' how he enjoyed the waltz with the jam tart.' Wasn't he sorry when the music stopped ? It was too bad of Briektop to disturb little Yen's slumbers by throwing clay on the roof. Burly Bob is on the war-path again. He should not walk so near the embankment, it is 'dangerous. What dusky individual was Bob seeing home at such an early hour ? A goodjob Yen was in the land of dreams. The Putere cadet must learn to talk Maori before he goes mashing the fair one Jon the other side.
