CURTAIN.
OPERA HOUSE
On Friday evening Miss De Grey took a -well-earned benefit, on which occasion she appeared as Rosalind in " As You Like It," -.and delighted the large audience with her charming acting. Indeed, abettor Rosalind has probably never been seen in Auckland. tOn Saturday "Adrienne Lecouvrier " was put on, and on Monday a dramatised version •of Ouida's famous novel, "Moths," was the -•attraction. This was one of the hits of the reason, and as Vere Herbert, one of the •novelist's most interesting heroines, Miss De Xxrey^feirned more laurels. Monday was au.nounced as the last night of the season, but • owing to the Wairarapa' s not leaving until :-after the expected time, "Moths" was repeated on Tuesday to another large house, ••and was again a brilliant success.
Miss De Grey left per Wairarapa on Wedrhesday for Sydney with the company, and irom thence they will proceed to London direct. Miss De Grey will be able to tell the Londoners that she had no more appreciative audiences while abroad than those she found in Auckland.
