"ROUGH ON RATS"
" .Rough on Eats " is becoming " rough, on men." It seems a strange anomaly that, ' while the temperance bodies are making such strenuous exertions to save us from imbibing our favourite "poison" in the hotels, no restriction has been placed on the sale of that deadly bane known as " Bough on rats," and that it has devolved on a coroner's jury to see what it is made of. Many men, . as . a matter of choice, would prefer suicide by bad whisky rather than "Rough, on Eats," but it is merely a matter of taste. ■ However, the number of suicides by means of the latter have of late been so numerous that it is high time the' Government took steps either under the "Sale 'of Poisons Act;" or by Order-in- Council to restrict the sale.
