The inventor of this Blacking has devoted much time, labour and research upon producing an article which shall have no injurious effect upon the Leather to which it is applied. ANBY'S PATENT CLEANSING CRYSTAL, Warranted not to contain any injurious ingredient; saves at least 50 per cent, in its use, besides all the wear and tear from the usual method of hard rubbing and brushing, &c. It is softening and agreeable to the hands, less injurious to the fabric than the best soap, and is perfectly odourless, leaving no trace of smell. Flannels become white and soft, like new ; coloured articles are restored to their original brilliancy ; white things are greatly improved, and keep their colour, even though put hy for months. The coarser articles, as well as the finest Table Linen, Lace, Muslin, Prints, Merinoes, Shawls, Carpets, Brushes, and every article that wiU bear washing 1 , however delicate the texture and colour, naay be fearlessly and beneficially subjected to its simple and harmless operations.
