Tauranga Jockey Cltjb Handicap of 80 soys., with a - sweepstake of 2 soys. on the post, to go to the second horse, if seven horses start third horse saves his stakes. Distanco 2 miles. Nominations 3 soys., acceptance 4 soys. Font Race of 5 soys., 14J hands and under (catch weights) ; 1 mile. Entrace 10 per cent. District Hurdle Race of 20 soys. ; over 6 flights of hnrdls, 3ft 6in high. Distance 1-J- miles ; no weight under lOst 71b. Entrance 10 per cent. The hoises to be the bonafide property of owners residing in the Taurauga Electorate three months before date of entry. Maori Hack Race of 5 soys. Distance 1 mile. Catch weights. Entrance 10 per cent. Publican's Purse Handicap of 40 soys. ; and a sweep of 2 soys. on the post, to go to second horse. Distance If miles. On Tuesday (December 26th), Monday and Tuesday (January Ist and 2nd), Auckland, Newmarket, Mount Eden and Onehunga to Racecourse Platform One Shilling Each (irrespective of Class), Single or Return, available for the day only. Including admission to Course Three Shillings. Passengers not allowed to break their journey at Racecourse Platform, but must provide themselves with suitable Tickets. SPECIAL TRAINS FOR RACES. Auckland, Newmarket to Racecourse— Every 20 minutes from 11 a.m. to 2.40 p.m., returning at intervals between 4 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. Onehunga to Racecourse — 12.5 p.m., 1.5 p.m., and 2.5 p.m., returning at 5.15 p.xn. On Sunday, December 2-4 th and 31st, the 4.15 p.m. Train will run through from Auckland to Te Awamutu. On Tuesday, December 26th, and Monday, January Ist, a Train for the Races will run as follows : — Te Awamutu, dep. 6 20 a.m. Ohaupo, 6.37 a m. Hamilton Jui ction, 7.10 a.m. Ngaruawahia, 7.43 a.m. Huntly, 8 15 a.m. Rangiriri, 8.40 a.m. Mei - cer, 9.40 a.m. Racecourse, arr. 12.15 p.m. TRAINS SUSPENDED. DECEMBER 26th, JANUARY Ist and 2nd. The 6.40 a.m. Auckland and Waikato ;, the 11.0 a.m. Auckland and Henderson ; the 2.5 p.m. Hamilton to Auckland ; and 2.0 p.m. Henderson to Auckland, are suspended on the above days. All Onehunga Branch Trains after 10.10 a.m. will be suspended and Specials substituted.
