The Observer.
Satttkday, AtTgust. 12th, 1882., musical supplement. Next week's supplement to the Obseeteb, instead of a cartoon of some colonial or local celebrity, will consist of a piece of entirely new. and original music, entitled "Miss, Brady's Piano Fortay," as sung in Ed. Harrigan's new play, embracing "The Forlorn Old Maid" (duct). "Miss Brady's Piano Fortay," "Paddy Duffey's Cart," "The Widow Nolan's Goat," " The Mclntyres and the Maguires " ; words' by Ed. Harrigan, music by Dave Brabam. This song came to hand by the last San Francisco mail, and is entirely nnkno-wn in Auckland, though it has already created quite a furore in England and America. The music is very pretty and lively, and the words full of intense fun, with that peculiar mixture of humour aud pathos for which the sons and daughters of Erin are so celebrated. We predict that the song will be the rage in Auckland. The last musical supplement given away with the Observed, was so favourably received that all the issue, (including an additional number) was bought up by agents and runners at nine o'clopk on the morning of publication. Agents would therefore act wisely in giving their orders early for next week's Obsekvrb, in order to prevent disappointment.
