MONGONUI.

Mrs Shaw has gone on a yisit to the South for the benefit of her health. Mrs O'Neill is the most charming hostess in Mongonui. . How is it that none of the young gallants went down to welcome the three young ladies who returned by the s.s. Wellington ? Mr W. Priestly, the very efficient manager of the Auckland Timber Company's works here, is very popular. The know-alls of Mongonui have lately seen a lady's jersey for the first time 5 and Mr L., the hotel-keeper, thinks he'll get 'em for his " gals." Mongonui is at present without a spiritual adviser ; but I noticed this morning a walking advertisement for the Wesleyans with his female supporters.
