REGATTA PROGRAMME : Ist Race— For Punts not over 21ft. in length, and not less than 22ft. on bottom. 2nd Race— Amateur Skiffs. No restrictions as to boats. 3kd Rack— Open Sailing Boats, not exceeding 21ft. on keel ; with or without centreboards. ■iTii Race — Four - oared Gigs, rowed on gunwale. Entries for this race to close 12th November, 1881 ; 3 bona fide gigs to start or no race. First Prize, £40. sth Race— Yachts not exceeding 30ft. on keel; open sailing boats excluded. Cth Race— Pair-oared Gigs, not over 21ft. in length ; rowed on gunwale ;no housing ; with or without coxswains. 7th Back— Maori Punts; double - hand ; breadth of bottom to be not less than 22in., and not exceeding 21ft. in length. Bth Race— Champion Scullers' Race. No restrictions whatever as to boats. 9th Race— Youths (under 16 years); two pullers and coxswain. Boats to be not over 21ft. on keel ; rowed on gunwale. 10th Race— Double - handed Punts. Punts to be not more than 21ft. in length, and not, less than 22in. on bottom. Second Day. ATHLETIC SPORTS : Ist Event— Qnoit Match. 2nd „ Maiden Race of 150 yds. 3rd Vaulting with Pole. 4th „ Handicap Race of 150 yds. oth „ Standing High Jump. tjth „ Putting the Stone. 7th „ Handicap Race of 300 yds. Bth „ Running High Jump. 9th „ Boys' Race (under It years). 10th „ Handicap Race of -140 yds. 11th Sack Race. 12th „ Three-legged Race. 13th „ One Mile Handicap. 14th „ Hop, Step, and Jump. 15th Throwing the Hammer. 16th „ Handicap Hurdle Eace of 440 yds. 17th^ Wheelbaraow Race. The Committee reserve to themselves the right of altering the above Programme or changing the sequence of the Races. A Prize will be given to the best-dressed athlete on the ground; also a Special Prize to the runner who shall score the greatest number of points in the foot races, the Maiden Race excluded.
