Tbo object for which the Company is formed is the acquisition of freehold and leasehold lands which are known to contain gold or other minerals, with a view of prospecting and mining thereon ; also, of leasing the whole or portions thereof for mh\ing purposes, reserving royalties, or at a fixed rental, or both. The discoveries of gold, from time to time, at various localities on the Coromandel Peuidsnla, show, beyond doubt, that the numerous quartz-bearing ranges which truverso the whole of that peninsula are more or less auriferous, requiring only vigorous and persevering prospecting to develop aud bring light to rich lodes. Having this fact before them, the promoters have succeeded in purchasing the fee simple of that valuable block of land, situated at Coromandel, known as the Taiimatawabine Block. This block contains 167 acres of land, and is traversed in every part by gold-bearing quartz reefs, which, up to the present time, have remained comparatively unprospected. On the boundary of this block the Success Gold Mining Company and other companies are now carrying on operations, with excellent prospects, the former Company having obtained its last parcel of specimens within a few feet of the boundary of the block ; and there is no reason to donbt but that the whole of the remainder of the Tiuiuuvtuwiibine Block is equally as valuable as the ground now being worked by that Company. This block possesses great advantages for economic working, as backs of from 500 to COO feet can be obtained without sinking, and without the aid of expensive machinery. It also contains a large quantity of valuable kauri timber, which will prove serviceable to the Company. In order to secure the thorough prospecting of the land, the directors have decided to issue permits to prospectors, upon liberal conditions. Theannexed reports will give some idea of the property, and the promoters now oiler it to the public on the terms herein set forth. The promoters are so satisfied with the prospects of (he co— pany that they have agreed to accept the greater part of the price of the land in partially paid-up shares —10,000 shares, of 5s each paid-up, being reserved for this purpose — the balance of the purchase money (J612500) being payable to them in cash. Applications for shares to be made before the 30th of September, in the accompanying form, and addressed to the Secretary, at the Company's Office, 19, New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Auckland.
