— The rolling-stone was delighted with the ball. Bather damp, though, wasn't it, Rolley ? — The headmaster is much tailor lately. Some say parental cares bow one down ; this is, however, tout au contraire. — There are several engagements (matrimonial) on the tapis. Further particulars when some of them come to a head. — The volunteers arc improving, and can now march very prettily round four chairs placed in the hall, to the enlivening strains of the Dead March from " Saul." — Mr Gr. gave a ball in honour of the opening of a new^barn. Thoso who were not invited say it was not worth sroinar to. The fluid dßpnvtmeut was capitally looked after— no Pol Rosrer though. But, by-the-bye, what has become of all the cntf-le ! J
