DRESSES AT THE RINK.
— There was a good assemblage at the Kink on the 18th inst. The gentlemen showed Tip to the front better, and the Skating Club is un fait accompli for this winter. Mrs McCosh Clark is the president, Mr R. Isaacs (übiquitous Bobby), secretary and treasurer, and an excellent committee have been appointed. Some very pretty dresses, and some very graceful forms floated round on the roller skates.
— Miss Philson wore black velvet trimmed with grey fur, toque to match.
— Miss Taylor had on a maroon jersey costume, with maroon plush hat to match.
— Miss Ridings appeared in a claret-coloured dress, with black fur hat and tippet.
— Miss Chamberlin had on a dress of myrtle green, with hat to match.
— Mrs McCosh Clark Avas in black silk with beaded trimmings ; black velvet bonnet also beaded.
■ — Miss Moss wore a black velvet and cashmere dress, made jersey costume ; black poke hat. She looked very nice.
— Miss Alexander, from Dunedin, wore a grey biege trimmed with maroon. The overskirt was looped up with cords; black pope hat.
— Mrs Jim Philson was sitting on the dais, "but as she never came clown once, I could only see that her dress was composed of dark materials, and that she looked exceedingly well,
