To quote the " Pirates of Penzance "
" Tfee enterprising burglar's bceu a burgling-" at the Ousekvkii office, and we much regret to state that he has "burgled" to no little purpose. Millionaires like our McCoshes, our Isaacs, and our Williamsons, doubtless, look upon £45 as a mere fleabite, a note or two to throw away on a dinner party or a carriage horse, but we, alas ! are not millionaires — newspaper men seldom are — and we don't mind admitting that we are much averse to losing such a sum and letting the culprit go free Perhaps it is flic writer's duty, as the conductor of a semi-comic paper, to try and be funny over this robbery, but, truth to tell, it seems a revolting subject for a joke. We feel, indeed, very much like the unfortunate patient who, after having an aged and diseased molar ex tracted by an \inskilful dentist, tries, with aching nerves and shattered jaw, to raise smile and thank his tormentor.
