"Almost Persuaded" writes: — "I went to the Free Methodist Church, at the junction of Pitt and Vincent-streets, on Sunday week, to hear a lady preach, and I can safely say that the address she gave was equal to any sermon I have ever heard. Indeed, I paid so much attention to her, and got worked up to such a pitch of excitement, that I cried like a child, a thing I have not done for years, and believed myself incapable of doing. At the conclusion of the address, the lady invited all who felt disposed to go forward to the front to be prayed for and with. Strange to say, no less than twenty-five accepted the invitation, and were converted. Altogether it was a very impressive and edifying scene. The lady's name is Mrs. Thompson (lately from England), and she is going to preach again soon. Go aiid hear her, and you will agree with me that she is a truly Christian lady of wonderful power and abilities. "
