Thoroughbred Imported Stallion MUSKET, Bred by Lord Glasgow in 1867 ; got by Toxophilite, his dam by West Australian out of Brown Bess by Camel. Terms: — Thirty guineas for one or two mares, or twenty-five guineas for three or more, tho property of same owner, payable by approved promissory notes at three months from date of service. Musket is a dark brown horse, standing fully 16 hands 2J inches, and shows immense power and quality. Musket's performances on the English Turf stamp him as an undeniable good horse at all distances and weights, while his stock now running prove him to be a very great success at the stud. Vide performances of Eifle, winner of Grand National Hurdle Eace of 1,000 guineas at Sandown; Muscatel; Petronel, winner of the 2,000 guineas ; Musketry, Carbine, and many others. The Company reserves to itself the option of ref ixsing mares not deemed suitable. Thoroughbred Imported Stallion CAP-A-PIE, By Maribynong out of Miss Magus by Magus (imported), out of Georgiarm, by Cax>-a-pie (imported) out of Georgiana (imported). Cap-a-pie is a beautiful brown horse, six years old, standing 15 hands 3 inches, and shows lots of quality and substance. Cap-a-pie' s Performances : Won Squatters' Stakes, A.J.O. Spring Meeting, 1877 ; St. Leger, A.J.C. Autumn Meeting. Dead heat with Chester for Cumberland Stakes next day, two miles, weight for age. Terms : Six guineas for single mare ; five guineas for two or more mares. The Imported Cltdesdale (4 years old) ELGIN, Sire, Luck's All, late Champion Sire of Scotland. Winner of the first prize at the Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show, held at Ellerslie, November 9th, 1879. Will travel this season as under : — • Mondays — To Panmure and immediate neighbourhood. Wednesdays— To Otahuhu, and in the afternoon to Maugere, where, by the kind permission of Mr. W. Paul, he will remain at his farm for the night. Thursdays — To Onehunga, Epsom, and Reniuera. Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays— at Glen Orchard. Terms : — Five guineas single mares ; 4i guineas for two or more, the property of one owner. N.B. — The Company offer a First Prize of Fifteen Guineas and a Second Prize of Five Guineas for the Best Foal got by Elgin, to be shown and judged at the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show in November, 1881.
