ABOUT TOWN
Those who imagine that I am to be intimidated by personal violence make a great mistake. It is quite true that in the present state of my health any bully with a pair of arms on him might hammer me or knock me down, as indeed he might perpetrate any other dastardly outrage. He cannot, however, muzzle me afterwards. My desire is to do no one a gratuitous injury, but to deal justly, fairly,
and fearlessly with all. and I quite believe chat
British law and a British public will support ■ this programme. At any rate I am resolved, at all risks, to try it.
