LIBERATION OF FRY. IMPROVED FACILITIES. NEW HATCHERY IN OPERATION. [By Telegraph. —Press Association]. ROTORUA, Dec. 8. Improved facilities at the new trout hatchery operated at Ngongotaha by the Internal Affairs Department have made it possible for officers of the Department greatly to increase the output of fry during the liberation period. During the past few months a total of 5.351.000 fry were liberated by the Hatchery, comparable with ”,622,500 liberated during the previous year, when the old hatchery near Fairy Spring was still in operation. Better facilities at the new hatchery also made it possible to complete the liberations much earlier than usual.
