CAR CONVERSIONS.

CASES IN PALMERSTON NORTH. TWO VEHICLES NOT FOUND. EPIDEMIC OF STEALING. [By Telegraph.—Press Association]. PALMEESTON N., July 21. There was an epidemic of car conversions in Palmerston North yesterdav, and two of the vehicles have not yet been recovered. A car owned by Mr. K. Taylor, of Levin, was taken about midday and loft in Kingswood Street. A second vehicle, owned by Mrs. Hutton, was reported to be missing at 1.45 p.m:, but this was recovered later. Between 5.30 and 7 p.m. a further car was taken from a city street, and that has also so far not been traced.
