WEDDINGS.
GLEESON—LLOYD. The marriage was solemnised recently at St. George’s Anglican Church, Thames, between Gwlady Vivienne Lloyd, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. 11. Lloyd, of Thames, and William Barr as Gleeson, only son of Mrs. S. Gleeson, of Thames, and the late Mr. W. R. Gleeson, of Thames. The Rev. S. B. R. Corbin officiated and wedding music was played by Mr. C. Lidington. The bride, who enfered the church with her father, was attired In a charming frock of navy angelskin, with white satin cowl front and navy toque to match. Her bouquet was of white chrysanthemums, spider lillies and maiden-hair fern.
The bridesmaid, Miss Jean Gleeson, sister of the bridegroom, wore a frock of red earth marocain with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of autumn tinted chrysanthemums.
Mr. Arthur Lloyd, cousin of tho bride, was best man.
A reception was later held at the residence of the bride’s parents, Pahau Street.
PURDIE—BUSH. At St. Andrew’s Church, Epsom, recently, the wedding was solemnised of Heather Daimler Bush, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. R, Bush, formerly of Thames, and Heathcofe Henry Kent Purdie, second son of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Purdie, of Manurewa. The bride’s frock was deep ivory Cluny lace mounted on magnolia satin. An exquisite veil of billowy tulle and Honiton lace was attached to the coronetted headdress of orange blossoms. The bridesmaids were Miss Hazel Duxfield (Matamata) and Miss Purdie, the bridegoom’s sister. Mr. Colin Purdie, the bride’s brother, was best man, and Mr. Graeme Bush, the bride’s brother, was groomsman.
