OBITUARY.
MR. H. R. TURNBULL. DEATH AFTER SHORT ILLNESS. The death occurred yesterday of Mr. Harold Richard Turnbull, of Parawai, aged 56 years, after a short illness. It is some three years ago since Mr. Turnbull took up residence in Thames, being connected with the grocery trade as manager of Wallace Supplies, aud later of Messrs. Wm. Scott, Ltd. lie was formerly in Auckland and Mercury Bay. Mr. Turnbull took much interest in sport and was formerly connected with racing and trotting. On coming to Thames he was elected a vice-president of the Thames Rugby Union. Deceased is survived bv his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Latta, of Thames, and Mrs. Thompson, of Moki, and a young son, also a brother, Mr. F. Turnbull, of Wellington. The funeral takes place to-morrow.
Mark of Respect
At the weekly meeting of the Thames Rugby Union Management Committee last night, reference was made to the passing of Mr. Turnbull, who was a vice-president of the Union. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect.
