“LITTLE TO HOPE FOR.”
FROM PRESENT GOVERNMENT.
SOCIAL CREDIT ATTITUDE. MEETING AT HAMILTON. “It has become increasingly apparent that we have comparatively little to hope for from the present administration,” stated Mr. J. i'l. Penniket, the retiring president, at the annual meeting of the Hamilton District Council of the Douglas Social Credit movement on Saturday evening. “With the general election coming, greater activity can be expected from us. Most of us regard the enforced choice between the Labour and National parties as trying to find the lesser of two evils,” he added. “The annual conference has reaffirmed the movement’s non-party attitude, and urges members to support independents where practicable.”
