“There were some splendid games played by Thames Valley sub-union
teams, on more than one occasion bad luck seeming to favour us,” stated the annual report of the Thames Valley Rugby Union, referring to the Peace Cup matches, presented at the annual meeting on Saturday at Paeroa.
“To Aroha and Paeroa almost took this trophy held by the Thames union, and Ilauraki Plains and Waihi also put in strong challenges. Altogether, tho competition "’as admirable and if is hoped the players will concentrate even more on fitness and team work in the coming season.”
