A party of about U 0 marines from the cruiser Achilles provided Russc'l

with a very realistic demonstration of riot squad drill yesterday. Tho object of the drill was to res torn order in a town where looters and rioters were at work, and the men

came ashore with two days' rations in their kits. Sentries were posted at strategic points, and groups of men were constantly running to and fro to various places where disorders were to bo suppressed.
