AT CITY SCHOOL-TEACHER. TOOK CLASS TO COURT. STUDYING CIVIC LIFE. [By Telegraph.—Preas Association! AUCKLAND, Fob. 16. Criticism of a school-teacher who was reported to have taken a class of children to the Supreme Court during tho recent criminal sessions to give them an insight into civic life was voiced by members of the Education Board this morning. It was stated that the teacher had embodied the Court visit in a special hot-weather curriculum advised by the Education Department. Members expressed .the opinion that there were plenty of opportunities of studying civic life without bringing the sordid side before the children. Although members had made it clear they did not approve, no motion was passed.
