WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.
THE PURIRI BRANCH. MONTHLY MEETING. The November meeting of tlie l'uriii branch of Hie Women's Institute was lieltl in the Turin Hull, -when Miss Dunlop presided over a fair attendance. The meeting opened with the Institute song. A very interesting demonstration on wool mop-making was given by Mrs. Franklin, of Waikino. Air. E. ftax, of "Wharepoa, gave a demonstration on aids to beauty. Both ladies received a hearty vote of thanks.
A competition, "Home-made Christmas present," was won by Mrs. Frisken, sciu'. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames D. Clark and O'Brien and Miss Kelly. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
