GOVERNOR RETURNS. AFTER TRIP TO ENGLAND. IMPRESSED WITH BRITAIN. [By Telegraph. —Press Association] AUCKLAND, Aug. 24. After 4J months’ absence on his first trip to England"since he became governor of the Reserve Bank of .New Zealand in 1934, Mr. Leslie Lefeaux arrived at Auckland yesterday by the Niagara from Vancouver with Mrs. Lefeaux and. their daughter. Mr. Lefeaux had nothing tab say about the purpose of his visit to London, but in reply to a question he stated that he had not taken any part in the work of tho New Zealand delegation to the Imperial Conference. “I was very much impressed with the development of British industry since I left for this country,” lie added. “Of course, it was impossible to say how much of it was due to the rearmament programme, but certainly the feeling everywhere was entirely different from that of 3 A years ago.”
