GRANT APPROVED. FOR IMPROVEMENTS. Mr. James Thorn, M.P., has been advised by Mr. P. Fraser, Minister for Education, that he has approved a grant to enable work on the enlargement of rooms and the provision of a verandah in the teacher's residence at Tapu to be carried out. Mr. Thorn had made representations in this connection, and on the Minister asking for a report from the Education Board, the board submitted a sympathetic recommendation.
