POPULAR CONCERT.
FUNCTION last night. VARIETY PROGRAMME. An enjoyable concert was held in tho St. James’ Hall last evening under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church. The seating accommodation Was well taxed and the variety programme was received in an enthusiastic manner. The items were: —Piano duet, Mr. and Miss Pearson; song, Mr. Ken G"rahnm; elocution, Mrs. Lambert; song, Mrs. H. Marshall; violin, Mr. Dickson; elocution, Mr. Plucke; play, “Tfid Poison Party”; piano accordion, Mr. Jennings; song, Mr. J. Galloway; elocution, Mrs. Lambert; song, Mr. dc Clive Lowe; pianoforte, Miss K. Gordon; song, Mrs. Marshall; play, “Birds of a Feather,” sixth form, High School.
