THE CONTINENTAL RACE. NOTES BY "CYCLIST." S. West rode one of his best races to date on Saturday to register fastest tiuio in the Continental race. A. Jones will do better if he rides more often in weekly races. M. Cowie rode well over his country course to register a long-overdue win. Gregory was riding well when overcome with cramp, and retired. D. Andrew and A. Jamieson will do better with more training. M. Wells and D. Shepherd found tho raco too fast and too far. Metcalf was unfortunate to puneturo early in the race. R. Robinson was unsitited for this style of event.
