THROUGH BOILING BILLY

A FAR NORTH INCIDENT. <By Telegraph—Press Association). WHANGAREI, Oct, 30. Oil Saturday, Mrs. Morgan, school teacher at Te Hapua, met with a painful accident necessitating her removal to the hospital at Kaitaia. Mrs. Morgan and her husband wero camping at Pandora, and shortly after their arrival a billy of water was boiled for tea. On the billy being taken- from the fire after the water had boiled the lid was thrown oil' by the compressed steam, and as Mrs. Morgan was bending over it. the steam and scalding water splashed into her face. While suffering great pain she had to assist her husband in catching a horse and then ride seven miles from Pandora to a place from which she could be motored to Kaitaia. After treatment at the hospital sho returned to her home at Te Hapua yesterday.
