MAN ON BICYCLE.
INCIDENT AT AVQNDALE. ; ASSAILANT ESCAPES. (By Telegraphy—press Association.) AUCKLAND, Sept, 29. Miss Thehna Oxton, aged 21, Ay as the victim of a midnight attack when, entering the gate of her home at Avondale after returning alone from a dance. Sbp was accosted by a man on a bicycle, who placed his hand across her. mouth. She. bit his fingers, gaining-release from his grasp, whereupon he struck her several violent blows and knocked her down on the concrete., . When she screamed lie rode away and was chased by the girl's father.
Last week two school children in the' same district Avere molested by a-man on a bicycle.
