Official Visit.

TO H.M.S. ACHILLES. REAR-ADMIRAL DRUMMOND. UPHOLDING REPUTATION. (By Teiegrapn.—Press Assoclution). AUCKLAND, Sept. 7. An official visit was paid to-day to H.M.S. Achilles by Rear-Admiral the Hon. E. R. Drummond, commanding the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. He was received by Captain- Glennie and Commander Paton.

Rear-Admiral Drummond inspected a guard of the Royal Marines, and the officers of- the Achilles were presented to him later in the day, when be again visited the ship and addressed the men assembled on tho quarter-deck. Welcoming them to the New Zealand station, he said good reports, had been received from the Achilles since the ship was commissioned, and he hoped this repuation would be upheld.
