25 YEARS IN OFFICE.

. A public gathering of citizens in the ToAvn Hall last evening, the deputy-Mavor, Mr. Leslie Michel, presiding, presented the Mayor of Hokitika, Mr. George Albert Perry, 0.8. E., Avith a handsome illuminated address and a substantial piece of silver plate, in recognition of bis 25 years’ continuous service as Mayor of the toAvn. Very complimentary references Avere made to his valued services to the toAvn and distridj over a period of years. Mr. Perry is the fh ; st Hokitikaborn Mayor of the town.
