AN EXCITING BOUT. MEHRINGER BEATS RUSSELL. (Special to "Star") AUCKLAND, April 20. In a professional wrestling contest at the Town Hall on Saturday evening, Peter Mehringer (lost 41b) defeated Bob ("Rebel") Russell (lost 21b) in the sixth round, tho latter being unable to continue after submitting to a Boston crab. Russell, who earned the displeasure of tho crowd with his rough tactics, secured a fall in thy third round with his very effective speciality, the "suplex" hold. There were some wildly exciting incidents as the wrestlers mixed matters freely. The winner proved himself fast and clever.

DRAW FOR BLOMFIELD. MATCH AT DUNEDIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association). DUNEDIN, April 20. In a hard, fast contest the Canadian, Jack Forsgren, and "Lofty" Blomfield wrestled a draw on Saturday evening in the Town Hall. The bout was witnessed by a large crowd. Forsgren secured a fall in the third round with a Boston crab, Blomtield equalising in the seventh with a body-press, following four successive flying tackles.
