Late Col. E. W. Porritt.
A MILITARY FUNERAL. The funeral of the late Colonel E. \V. Porritt, who died in the Thames Hospital on Tuesday, look place at Paeroa yesterday, and was largely attended. Five members of the Sixth Hauraki Regimental Band and Lieutenant A. Clark, from Thames, who was bandmaster during the. Colonel's Motive interest in the Regiment, were among those present, Ihe funeral was conducted with lull militars honours, and officers of the Sixth Hauraki Regiment acted as pallbearers.
