The date of the preliminary conference between the .Minister fur Internal Affairs, Mr. W. E. Parry, and the mayors of cities and boroughs which <>Jd provincial capitals. to devise plans for the celebration of New Zealand's centenary, has been deferred from February 20 (<> March 2. The alteration has been made to meet the convenience of mayors who arrive in Wellington at the beginning of March en route to attend, the municipal conference at Napier.
