Obituary.
MR. R. W. HOLMES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Feb. 11. The death occurred at Hamilton on Saturday of Mr. Robert West Holmes, former engineer-in- chief of the Public Works Department. Deceased was in his 79th. year. PROMINENT MAORI WOMAN. A link in a royal Maori line was broken with the death at Mangerc on Sunday morning of Mrs. Te Paea Puro Rewha, aged 08, great-grand-daughter of Kati, brother of Potatau, the first king of the Maoris. She was an aunt of King Koroki, and a cousin of Princess Te Puea, who, with other members of this notable family, is expected to attend the funeral.
