EXTENSION PROPOSAL.

ANOTHER THOROUGH CANVASS

COROMANDEL SEEKS INCLUSIONThe question of reticulation of the Thames Coast Road was again before the Thames Valley Electric Power Board at its meeting on Tuesday when the Thames Chamber of Commerce advised that arrangements were in progress for another and more thorough canvass of residents of the area. The Chamber was eon vineed that more than a pay load would be required for the extension, while the importance of the develop nient of the district was fully realised. The Coromandel Chamber of Coni merce also wrote on the same sub ject and suggested that the extension of the canvass be made from Tapu so as to include Coromandel and district.

The chariman, Mr. .J. Price, point cd out that Thames business met were conducting the canvass am further that the Coromandel dis trict was not in the Board's area which extended only to the Thame: Countv boundary.

It was decided that the Curonian del Chamber be advised accordingly
