JANUARY RAINFALL
THE THAMES FIGURES
The month just past was the wettest January experienced in Thames' for four years, the rainfall recorded by the official meteorologist, Dr. J. B. Liggins, being 3.11 inches, com pared with 1.31 inches for the lirsl month last year. The heaviest fall for January in any year during the past ten years was 7.(J3in., recorded in 1931.
