Butter Market.
LONDON PRICES FALL DOWN TO 96/- AND 97/-. CHEESE ALSO EASIER. (Special to “Star.”) AUCKLAND, Jan. 11. The London prices lor butter are again easier, and New Zealand is quoted 1/- to 2/- lower, at 96/- to t)7/- per ewt. There has been a fall of 2/6 over the week. The market is irregular, but some reports indicate a steadier tone. The cheese market is quiet, prices being: White, 56/- to 57/-, and coloured 60/-, a drop of 1/- over the week. The latest Press Association cable from London states : Butter is irregular following overrapid rises. Danish, 126/- per cwt; choicest salted New Zealand, 96/-; Australian,. 96/-; unsalted New Zealand, 102/- to 104/-; Australian, 102/-. Cheese is easier. 'New Zealand, white 56/- to 57/- per cAvt, coloured 60/-. Little Australian is offering and quotations arc nominal.
