Sweet Pea Show.
YESTERDAY’S DISPLAY. THAMES BAPTISTS. LIST OF AWARDS. The Baptist Church Sweet Pea Show and Sale of Work, held in St. James’ Hall yesterday, the first of its kind in Thames, was a great success. Mrs. A. Fear, who officially opened the Show, said that should the fixture become an annual one gladioli and delphiniums should al&o be featured prominently, as they were at their best now.
The judge of the sweet peas and cut flower sections, Mr. F. J. Causley, pronounced the display as very good, especially considering that this was the first attempt.
Mrs. W. A. Dabb exhibited the champion sweet pea. Following is the list of awards: — Sweet Peas. (Judge: Mr. F. J. Causley). Six distinct kinds, Mrs. Cf. Reid 1, R.
