Bees In Possession.

JUST BEFORE FIRST RACE. INCIDENT AT WHANGAREI. RAIN SAVES THE DAY. (Special to Star). AUCKLAND, Nov. 9. The first race at Whangarei yesterday started a few minutes late, and it was just as well it did, for at the time the race was due to start a large swarm of bees flew across the course near the li-milo post and took possession. However, a light shower of- rain fell and tho bees quickly made for cover in a fig tree at the side of the course.
