"NO-NERVE BRIGADE” There is working on the coast of Sussex a gang of 40 toilers who are known as the “No-Nerve Brigade.” They are being employed by the borough of Brighton at “cliff-trimming,” a job made necessary by the making of a road along the beach at the foot of the cliffs towering to .a height of 150 ft. A reporter who went to see them says that “all day long they keep stepping over the cliff edges as unconcernedly as you or I might step off an omnibus.” Few people have jobs as . hazardous as that, but none of us can afford to take risks with our nerves. It is a wise move for smokers to switch to those choice toasted tobaccos, Red Shield (Dark) and Blue Shield (Medium) * They are superlative New Zealand tobaccos, made perfect in smoothness and flavour by the special method of toasting. Red Shield (Dark) and Blue Shield (Medium) are obtainable in two-ounce tins (1/7) and in attractive one pound canisters, a splendid packing for the home and even more economical in price. 47
