Experimental Farm.
ATTEMPT TO SELL FAILS. RECALLS PREVIOUS PROTESTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Oct. 30. No bid has been received for the State Experimental Farm at Te Kauwhata, where the Government established a wine-making industry farm over 30 years ago. The sale of the property was recommended by the National Expenditure Commission in its report on State enterprises, but the proposal was subject to strong protests in the House, and further protests were heard when the Government announced that it was proposed to offer the farm for sale.
