LEADER SLIGHTLY HURT. PROPELLER STRIKES HAND. . (A. and K.Z. CaDie). CHARLEVILLE, Oct. 29. Squadron-Leader D. E. Stodart and his brother, Sergeant K. G. Stodart (Britain), who arrived at Darwin from Koepang at 7.50 a.m. •yesterday, left again at 10.20 a.m. for Newcastle Waters, where they arrived and spent the night. The fliers reached Charleville at 6 p.m. to-day. Squadron-Leader Stodart severely injured his right hand only a few minutes after his arrival at Darwin. He was swinging the propeller, to taxi to the refuelling depot, when the engine kicked back on compression and the blade struck the aviator's hand, inflicting a wound which bled profusely.
