Rescued From Drowning.

MERCURY BAY FISHERMAN. • DINGHY SWAMPED BY SQUALL. (Special to Star). WHITIANGA, July 10. Fishing with long line from the launch Waiheke near Zane Grey’s camp, Mercury Bay, yesterday, Ben Marsden, a Maori, aged about 21, was caught by a northerly squall and his dinghy . swamped. T. Hutchinson rushed his launch to the rescue and saved ; Marsden, who was unable .to swim, from drowning by grabbing his hair. . Marsden was. dragged aboard with much .difficulty, and after resuscitation methods had* been successfully applied, was brought to Whitianga. All his fish were lost. To-day Marsden is none the worse for his adventure.
