Money for the Council. Treasury vouchers for goldfields revenue, £29/8/3 And the Main Highway, Coromandel-wkitakaruril section, £lO6/6/3, Were received at the last meeting of the Coromandel County Council. A Surprise Visit. This morning, the Director of Education, Mr T. B. Strong, paid a surprise visit to t'he Thames High School. He gave a very encouraging and inspiring address to the pupils, and was later shown around the grounds by the chairman of the Board of Governors, Dr J. B. Liggins. Waikato Winter Show. About 120 people left Thames this morning by the excursion train for the Waikato Winter Show. Referee for June 3. Mr E. H. Grilßn has been chosen by the Auckland Rugby Union to control the match between Thames and Auckland on June 3.
