MAN PLEADS GUILTY. COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 1 Leaving his lawful wife on March 31, Charles Bertie Fittes, a waterside worker, on the same day married another woman, with whom lie became acquainted through a newspaper advertisement, and went on his honeymoon to Palmerston North, using £57 obtained by forging and uttering a cheque in his son’s name. He pleaded guilty to-day to bigamy and also forging and uttering, and was committed for sentence.
