RESULT OF MEN’S FOURSOMES

The men’s foursome match, played on Saturday last, resulted in a tie between H. H. Marshall and F. Maenamara, 71 nett, and E. A. Palmer and L. Griffin, 71 nett. The next best scores were: A. S. Gray and IT. E. Blennerhassett, 91—17, 74; K. M. jt-avett and H. Samuel, 95—17, 78; and N. Matthew and H. R. Surman, 97—19, 78.

Next Friday afternoon, the 3rd inst., a competition will be held for trophies presented by the president. Play will commence about 1.15 p.m., and will be a four-fcall-best-ball bogey handicap. The trophies will be presented to the best senior pair and the best junior pair. The draw will take place at the club-house as soon as possible after 1.15 p.m. On Saturday afternoon, the 4th inst., a medal round will be played, for which the following is-the draw: A. S. Gray plays A. G. Fisher; H. Marshall plays C. H. Poulgrain; E. B. Clendon plays R. M. Taylor; N. Matthew plays W. H. Baker; E. A. Palmer plays A. Twentyman; G. L. Shaw plays K. M. Pavitt; L. Griffin plays Arch. Steedman; J. Tisdall plays H. Harden; W. H. Hoult plays W. Jack; H. Samuel plays N. R. Surman; G. A. Jorgensen plays W. Sowerby; F. Macnamara plays T. McCTafroll; H. E. Blennerhassett plays J. Pease; G. Steedman plays S. Inglis. The entrance fee is 1/-. Trophies will be given to the best senior and junior results respectively. Players unable to play in the above match are urged to notify the secretary by 4.30 p.m. on Thursday, the 2nd inst.
